Host Forum: Sonic Visualiser / How can I import files from compact discs?

I would like to look at the waveforms of music files on compact discs. But every time I try to import the files, Sonic Vizualizer says that the format is not recognized. The file extension on a music file on a compact disc is .cda.  How do I look at these files?
