Installing on Ubuntu/ Sonic Visualiser

Hi,
I would like to use plugins in Sonic Visualiser and have installed some plugins to /usr/local/lib/vamp but they are not being detected by Sonic Visualiser. At least, they are not showing up under Transform -> Find a transform.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
