I love contraint playback to selection and the looping feature when used together with the Chord Estimator of Matthias Mauch. Unfortunately the loop borders could be improved slightly, just for looped playback purposes, if the looped playback would not use the segments detected by the chord estimator but the nearest transients around them! Then we could even get perfectly looping loops without any extra effort! Perfect for unlimited musical enjoyment fun together with professional music content analysis.

In short having an option in the Preferences like:  "Use for looped playback nearest transient to Chord Estimator time point detections if nearest transient is available in maximum distance of 300 ms or so"
would be bombastic.

It would be fantastic if in the Data Editor window title we could also display the current Time and Label. Today I just tested Matthias Mauch's Chord Estimate Vamp plugin, if we could have access to these both information (time and label) in real-time from Sonic Visualiser, we could try to play around with this information also in places outside of Sonic Visualiser, also in real-time of course.

What I am thinking mainly is using AutoHotkey to generate from the label string the midi counterpart which could be played out via some midi device, directly while Sonic Visualiser is playing its audio file. AutoHotkey has the capability to read the window title directly.

Or is there another possibility to export the annotation layer information as .mid rather than .csv for example?

Thanks in advance. Thanks for the great Sonic Visualiser also!

Which possibilities do we have to export symbolic information which we got by using some plugins in Sonic Visualiser 1.3?

For example I would like to export pitch and tempo related information as midi files. Is this already possible directly or by some workarounds? Right now in Sonic Visualiser we seem to have following options in File.Export Annotation Layer:

1.  Sonic Visualiser Layer XML files (*.svl)
2.  Comma-separated data files (*.csv)
3.  Text files (*.txt)

Right now, we need another converter from these .csv or .txt to .mid as far as I understand it.

Thanks for Sonic Visualiser (:= SV) and all the great plugins, I tried SV some time ago in version 1.0 and it was somehow not working correctly, so I stopped using it, but now version 1.3 is working quite well. Now I can play with these great analysis algorithms/tools. Thanks to all developers and who made this possible!
