FFT
« on: September 30, 2008, 09:19:00 »
Hi,
I would like to know how can I have a FFT with SV?  ???
I have a wave file, and I would like to see this FFT transform and its frequency response (Amplitude=function of frequency)

thanks, ;D

Aymeric,

I'm not sure I understand whether you're asking for something in particular, but there are several built-in functions that provide various ways of looking at FFT data.  All of the spectrogram and spectrum options on the Pane menu, for example, produce different sorts of FFT plot.

I suggest looking at the Sonic Visualiser reference manual, particularly the Spectrogram and Spectrum sections:

http://www.sonicvisualiser.org/doc/reference/1.3/en/#spectrogram
http://www.sonicvisualiser.org/doc/reference/1.3/en/#spectrum

for more information.

thank you for your answer, the links was useful for me. However, now I' looking for the Queen Mary analysis. Do you know where we can find some information about it, for instance I want to understand and use the beats tracker, but I'm not sur about the parameters to use. So, if you have some informations, algorithm,...

Cheers,

Aymeric
