OK,

now for something completely different: use sonic visualiser with animation :)
Believe it or not, but this is indirectly made by using sonic visualiser:

I was looking for a tool, which allows me to add/manage time-related metadata.
More specific, I wanted to be able to have datafiles which contain triggerpoints for use in animation.
For beatsyncing audio with video, this would be great.

SOLUTION: Sonic Visualiser and the .svl xmlformat

Also, I'm working on .svl 'datamassager' utility, which allows transcoding of svl-annotation-files to any scripting language:

Great stuff this Sonic Visualiser.
Normally applications like blender,3dmax,afterfx have builtin timeline editors.
But if you are more into scripting animations, Sonic Visualiser is a great way to create datafiles for time-related events.
