Good afternoon,
Thanks for building and sharing Sonic Visualiser, it's a great programm!
I use SV and would like to install the MATCH plugin. However after downloading and unfolding the file I can not find the .DLL file.
My computer runs on Windows. Can you please guide me through the installation of the plugin?
Many Thanks,
Jelle Krouwel, The Netherlands

Hallo!

You have to put your plugins into the right directory, so that e.g. Sonic Visualiser can find it.
See http://vamp-plugins.org/download.html#install .
(So for windows this should be C:\Program Files\Vamp Plugins)

Hi Georg,
Thanks for your reply. I have followed your instructions and created a folder "C:\Program Files\ Vamp Plugins" (A).
When I extract the compressed plugin, automaticly a NEW folder called "vamp-plugin-sdk-2.2" is created in (A). Can you tell me if this is right? And what should be my next step?
Thanks,
Jelle

Download some plugins for windows from this side:
http://vamp-plugins.org/download.html

Then put the .dll files (and .cat files if present) into the C:\Program Files\Vamp Plugins directory.

Now you should see the plugins in Sonic Visualizer or otherwise some error messages !

Yes, from the description it sounds as if this is simply the wrong file -- perhaps the Vamp SDK or another source code package rather than the MATCH plugin for Windows package.

Guys,
Thanks for your advice. The problem is solved now, the plugins work.
Apparently I downloaded via a mirror site, and did not get the complete package.
Thanks again,
Jelle
