How do I edit a Transform effect?

Excuse this noob question, I'm just getting started with this great software. Couple of questions:
How can I make adjustments to a already-created transform effect IE: I want to change the bandwidth of a bandpass filter?
When I am creating a new melodic spectrograph using the above mentioned filer, it offers several filters that have already been deleted as options, since they're all the same type of filter, I don't know which to choose (it's confusing).
Finally, can anyone point me towards a vamp plugin that attempts to isolate notes and display as simple Notes (ABCEDFG) The plugins Ive played with do very good at finding note onsets, but it would be nice if I could get some note output with perhaps an adjustable freq acceptance threshold and gain. Maybe this exists and I haven't found it yet.
Thank you!
Dave
